The Vegetarian Teriyaki Taco Tastes Amazing And Is Good For You!
Anybody who lives in or comes to visit South Florida can appreciate its truly good qualities. There are so many things about this town that make me so happy to be a resident. The superior dining is just one facet of many that continue to surprise me since living here. In all of my experiences of South Florida dining, I have shocked at how these establishments manage to come up with such different styles. The tacos that I ordered on my last trip were so different from the other entrees I've tried! The Teriyaki taco is my new favorite dish on the menu! You won't believe it when I tell you the ingredients in this dish!
I immediately took notice when I saw that they were preparing me three soft shell tacos. As far as portioning goes, South Florida knows that we like to get what we pay for. I left completely full and with a giant grin on my face. Three warm and soft tortillas? Count me in!
The teriyaki sauce that this taco promises is unlike any that I've ever seen, heard of, or tasted. It is a pineapple teriyaki sauce that is incredible and made fresh every day. It absolutely redefined teriyaki sauce for me. I'll never be satisfied with another attempt at teriyaki sauce, this just can't be beat!
The pineapple teriyaki sauce should really go after all of the other ingredients, so as to get everything mixed in! So you should first start with a choice of protein. There's chicken, chicken breast, pork, or steak; it's all up to you! If you're a vegetarian, no worries, there's a delicious black bean hummus, as well as just plain black beans and guacamole.
No taco would be complete without vegetables. It's so easy to make your taco a healthy meal with the right selection of vegetables. The teriyaki starts the veggies off with cucumbers. I had never heard of putting cucumbers on a taco, but I'm so glad that I got a taste! The refreshment that it brought to the teriyaki taco was like no other.
The next ingredient is diced green onions. I am a newbie to diced green onions on tacos, so there was another ingredient I was skeptical about in the interesting style that could only be attributed to South Florida dining. As a food critic though, I must be open to new things, and wow am I glad I went for this ingredient! It was truly one of my favorites!
The last ingredient out of the veggies section that you'll use for the teriyaki is pickled carrots. These pickled carrots were amazing and with the pineapple teriyaki sauce that trademarks this taco, I was blown out of the water. My three soft tortillas had quickly turned into a healthy and hearty meal before my eyes, and the taste was even better than the way it looked!
Finally, to put the finishing touches on everything, a few sesame seed are sprinkled on top of each taco. I really enjoyed this last subtle ingredient. I thought it was completely appropriate for the style of the taco, as well as for the taste. All of the ingredients, even though I was skeptical about some, were absolutely delectable. The textures and flavors were out of this world!
The chicken Teriyaki taco is what you would expect from Wellington food, but I just can't believe my taste buds every time I try a different entree. If only pork tacos everywhere were this delicious. South Florida just gets it!
